THE CHALLENGE
At Mobile World Congress 2024, Optasia needed more than a booth: it needed a stage to amplify its mission: to bring financial inclusion to the next billion people.
Located at a strategic crossroads in Hall 5, its 92 m² space demanded visibility, openness, and precision. The brief was ambitious:
- Combine hospitality and high functionality in a limited space
- Integrating three distinct lines of business: microloans, advance issue time, and data monetization, into a cohesive experience
- Elevate the brand’s presence with a two-story structure, while addressing technical limitations such as a central pillar and a no-build zone.
- All under a strict budget and a rigorous visual standard: no mediocrity, no stereotypes.
It wasn’t just about presenting services. It was about embodying leadership in financial technology, with an environment that encouraged connection and conveyed innovation.
OUR APPROACH
We responded with a design that fused clarity, ambition, and warmth: making every square meter work harder, smarter, and more beautifully.
- Strategic flow: We maintain the opening on three sides and orient the reception to capture traffic from the most active corridor.
- Vertical presence: A 6-meter-high brand structure on the corner served as a landmark, increasing visibility from afar.
- Layered experiences: On the ground floor, two glass-enclosed meeting rooms balanced transparency and discretion. Above, the VIP deck offered an elevated lounge for important conversations, protected by a custom-made textile roof for added privacy and comfort.
- Unified branding: each of Optasia’s main services had room to breathe through minimal graphic cues: not segmented, but perfectly interwoven into the overall spatial story.
- Intelligent problem-solving: The central pillar and fire-fighting equipment went from being a constraint to a feature: harmonized with the design, not hidden.
We focused on the small touches too: intuitive storage, subtle lighting, flexible screen setups, and a welcoming lounge atmosphere that made even brief visits feel intentional.

THE RESULTS
Optasia’s booth became a magnet. A space where high-level executives from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other places stopped not only to visit, but also to interact.
