A VERY SPECIAL LIGHT

AT EUROLUCE SALONE DEL MOBILE MILANO 2025

Bover at Euroluce Salone del Mobile Milano 2025

THE CHALLENGE

Bover came to us with the request of crafting a space that reflected Bover’s philosophy and help them to showcase their five new collections at the Euroluce 2025, one of the most influential fair shows about international design. The space needed to transmit calm, formal precision and Mediterranean sensibility, without taking away the limelight of the luminaries. Bover Barcelona presented us with a soulful challenge: to create a space where the warmth of the Mediterranean, the precision of signature design, and light as a form of emotion could coexist.

How do you translate the warmth of the Mediterranean, the delicacy of an idea, and light with soul to one of the most demanding showcases in the world?

The challenge was twofold. On the one hand, to present five new collections born from collaborations with established and emerging voices. On the other hand, to build a space that spoke that same silent and coherent language, where each luminaire could not only be seen, but felt. It wasn’t just about showcasing products but about projecting a philosophy: one that respects the craft, celebrates the material, and engages with time.

OUR APPROACH

At TARS Design, we understood that it wasn’t about creating a stage, but an environment with soul. A place where each design could breathe, float, and engage in dialogue with the visitor without raising its voice.

We created an exhibition environment that served as an intimate journey through Bover’s creative universe. The stand was structured as a sequence of welcoming atmospheres, where each piece could be breathed and understood.

We prioritized warm materials, subtle lighting, and fluid architecture that encouraged exploration and contemplation. The visual narrative accompanied the five collections with respect and aesthetic coherence.

We created a stand that was both a gallery and a refuge, conceived as a leisurely stroll through the emotional landscapes of each collection:

– ARID, by Nahtrang, like a mural topography evoking the sea and sand.

– VUOTA, by Milá + Laucirica, with its central void that transforms absence into light.

– BIRDIE, by Jorge Herrera, inspired by flamingos, delicate and slender like a vegetal whisper.

– FANALET, by Manel Molina, which reinterprets the traditional lantern with sobriety and robustness.

– YUYUN, by Joana Bover, the founder, which rises like a hand-woven vertical prayer.

Each space was constructed to enhance the light without trapping it, to let the form, the material, and the craft speak for themselves. We used honest materials, warm textures, integrated lighting, and a layout that allowed visitors to interact, connect, learn, and remember.

All to envelop without distracting. Accompanying without invading.

“We envisioned the stand as a living organism, one that would breathe with the rhythm of the islands, immerse the visitor in nature, and interact with them on an emotional and technological level. We built an island inside the fair.”

THE RESULTS

For six days, the Bover stand became a meeting place.

Among international visitors, designers, specialized press, and design lovers, a common thread emerged: emotion.

The excitement of discovering pieces that not only illuminate but inhabit.

That not only decorates but also sensitively structures the space.

Those are not born from the urgency of the market, but from the maturity of a brand that knows what it wants to say.

And for us, at TARS Design, it was a privilege to be part of that story.

We helped build something more than a stand: we wove a stage for light with soul.

For six days in Milan, the Bover stand wasn’t just visited, it was inhabited.

Designers, architects, and international visitors stopped, touched, observed, and asked questions.

And most importantly, they connected.

They connected with a brand that, since its founding in 1996, has managed to grow without losing its core.

They connected with a way of creating light that doesn’t respond to trends, but to emotions.  A stand that not only presented its products but also conveyed its identity. The proposal was recognized for its quiet elegance, its ability to move, and its adaptation to the brand’s language. The space allowed Bover to consolidate its international position as a benchmark for signature, artisanal, and poetic lighting.
