Mascletà is a generative audiovisual work that takes as its starting point the sound recording of the Valencian mascletà of March 8, 2020, the last one held before the closure caused by the pandemic.

The project transforms the sound of gunpowder into visual material: each explosion, each frequency, and each silence are translated into shapes, pulses, and vibrations of light, generated in real time through programming. The result is a constantly evolving visual landscape that breathes with the rhythm and energy of that collective sound suspended in time.

Beyond its technical dimension, the piece functions as a sensory memory of a moment before the global silence, an evocation of what the celebration, the crowd, and the shared pulse were like. The work transforms the clamor into contemplation, the gunpowder into light, and the festive noise into a visual echo of a time interrupted.
