UEFA Events at UEFA Champions League Final Kyiv 2018
UEFA Champions League Final Kiev
THE CHALLENGE
When UEFA Events entrusted our team with developing the concept, design, and production of the hospitality area for the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final in Kyiv, we understood the magnitude of the challenge: to create an unforgettable experience for 8,600 VIP and hospitality guests at one of the most prestigious and widely covered sporting events on the planet, with nearly 400 million viewers worldwide.
The goal was not only to offer first-class services, but to design an immersive environment that would guide each visitor, from arrival to departure, through a seamless flow of emotions, comfort and spectacle, reflecting UEFA’s values of excellence and prestige.
OUR PROPOSAL
We developed a comprehensive project that encompassed concept, design, production and management, transforming the environment of the Kyiv Olympic Stadium (NSC Olimpiyskyi) into an exclusive universe of hospitality and branding.
The design combined contemporary elegance, technology, and sports storytelling to immerse guests in the atmosphere of elite football.
Among the main spaces created:
Private skyboxes, lounges and rest areas with privileged views of the stadium.
A large panoramic garden that served as a social and visual meeting point, with an atmosphere of calm before the intensity of the game.
Corridors and transit areas were treated as part of the sensory experience, with luminous and graphic environments that guided the route.
And, as the centerpiece, the UEFA Club, which was the largest tent ever built for this event, whose main entrance replicated the players’ tunnel through which they enter the field.
Inside, guests encountered a football field suspended in LED, surrounded by digital stands and benches where coaches gave instructions, creating an immersive space that combined excitement, technology and spectacle.
“Designing for UEFA Events meant working with pinpoint precision, but also with soul. Because in the final, every detail counts.”
Guillermo Briz García, Project Manager
THE RESULTS
The project became an international benchmark for sports hospitality, elevating the VIP experience to an unprecedented level of storytelling and emotion.
Every detail, from the flow of movement to the ambient lighting, was designed to create a sense of belonging to the heart of European football.
The final, in which Real Madrid won their 13th European title against Liverpool, was the perfect ending to an event that transcended sport: a symbol of modernity, pride and organizational capacity for Ukraine and for UEFA Events.
An experience that demonstrated that design, when put at the service of emotion, can transform hospitality into an art form.
